Toxotes
On the fringes of Rodopi and the point where Nestos, the great Life-Giver river overflows the narrow trails meanders of the valley to cool the Thracian Sea, standing my village Archers (old name Oksilar = Archers).
Sprawling in an embossed pine tree hills, olive groves, poplar, wild fig, padded and wild roses, 12 km from the city of Xanthi, next to the Egnatia highway, 25 km from the beaches, with a railway station in a building jewel.
The approximately 800 residents, all refugees from Pontos, Asia Minor, Thrace, settlers from the now deserted mountain villages Imera (Saltikli) Kromniko (Sarnits) Livera (Anta), Tuzla.
