Carnival of Xanthi

The Carnival of Xanthi boasts a series of events around music, dance and theater, art exhibitions or other content, lectures, book presentations and film screenings. During the two-week event in Xanthi very important place occupies another form of social accomplishing the feast, which one encounters in many different places and formats.

The institution closes the carnival parade and the custom of burning the effigy of Tzara.

Xanthi - Old Town Festival

The Old Town Festival taking place continuously since 1991 with the advent of autumn.
The majority of these events takes place in the traditional preserved settlement of Xanthi, the so-called "Old Town", the streets of which in the places of cultural and carnival clubs to offer food and drink.
